Nuclear Fuel Complex,  Hyderabad, an Industrial Establishment under the Department of Atomic Energy is having its Unit ‘ZIRCONIUM COMPLEX’ at Pazhayakayal, Tuticorin District, Tamil Nadu and is also establishing a Green Field Project ‘NUCLEAR FUEL COMPLEX – KOTA’ at Rawatbhata, Kota, Rajasthan. As such online applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the following posts to be posted at (i) Nuclear Fuel Complex, Rawatbhata, Kota, Rajasthan and (ii) Zirconium Complex, Pazhayakayal, Tuticorin District, Tamil Nadu.



However, the selected candidates, on appointment are liable to serve in any of the Units of NFC and other constituent units of the Department of Atomic Energy located in different parts of the country.

Requirement of PRP, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (a Unit of Department of Atomic Energy) at Kalpakkam, Tamil Nadu to fill up vacancies for the post of Stipendiary Trainee CategoryII in the said Unit is also included in this advertisement. Candidates empanelled against the following vacancies will be considered for further recruitment action by BARC, Kalpakkam.

Scope of training for CAT-I & CAT-II Trainees: a. The selected candidates will have to undergo training in various aspects of relevant trades and for meeting the stringent requirements of NFC-Kota / ZC (P) / BARC-PRP, Kalpakkam for a period of two years duration. b. The two years training period consists of six months class room training and eighteen months in-plant/on-the-job training. c. The performance of the trainees will be assessed during the course of training period. The trainee scoring minimum score of 50% in each of the training module viz., Theoretical Training, In-Plant Training and Final absorption Interview will be considered for absorption. d. CAT-I trainees will be considered for absorption as Scientific Assistant-C (Cell No. 1 in Level 7 in Pay Matrix). e. CAT-II trainees will be considered for absorption as Technician-B (Level-3 in Pay Matrix) / Technician-C (Level 4 in Pay Matrix) depending upon the performance during the training and absorption interview. f. CAT– I/II trainees scoring less than 50% marks in any of the training module viz., Class room training, On-the-Job training and Final Absorption Interview will not be considered for absorption and are liable to be terminated. 

Selected candidates for Training will have to execute a bond to complete the training and also serve for a minimum period of 03 years after absorption in NFC, Kota / ZC (Pazhayakayal) / BARC-PRP (Kalpakkam) or any of the constituent Units of DAE. A trainee who fails to complete the training or serve the Department for 03 years, if offered appointment, will be liable to pay to the Government a sum equivalent to aggregate amount of stipend received by him/her during the period of training along with penal interest thereon.

Nature of Duties for the Post of Work Assistant ‘A’/Hospital Work Assistant ‘A’ 1. Cosmetic maintenance of laboratories and office buildings and surrounding areas including toilets, providing clean, neat and hygienic ambience in the area and miscellaneous office work. 2. Cleaning and decontamination of plants/machinery, assistance in plants/workshops/stores/ canteens and other utility areas. The duties involve working in round the clock shifts. 3. Keeping hospital wards or dispensaries in hygienic condition. Helping the patients in sponging, changing, movement for diagnostic tests/treatment. Taking pathology samples to pathology department. Assisting nursing staff in bed making, serving food, taking/handing over articles, pantry articles etc., bringing indents from pharmacy, stores etc. 4. Developing the gardens by digging soil and planting of different plants; maintenance of gardens by sweeping, watering, weeding, mowing, manuring, pruning and propagating plants and flower arrangements. 5. Miscellaneous office work etc. 

Stage-1 Preliminary (Screening) Test: • The applicants who fulfill the requirements for the post will be called for Stage-1 Preliminary (Screening) Test consisting of multiple choice Questions (Choice of four answers) in the relevant Discipline/Trade. • Candidates will be awarded three (03) Marks for each correct answer and one (01) Mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. • Test may be conducted in single/multiple sessions. • General Candidates scoring less than 50% marks, SC /OBC candidates scoring less than 40% marks and ST candidates scoring less than 35% marks, in Stage-1 Test will be screened – out. Stage-2 (Interview): • All candidates qualified in Stage-1 screening test will be required to appear for Physical Standard Test at NFC. SELECTION PROCEDURE (POST CODE 21912 to 21924, 21933 and 21941 to 21945) Stage-1 Preliminary (Screening) Test: • The applicants who fulfill the requirements will be called for Stage-1 Preliminary (Screening) Test consisting of 50 Multiple choice Questions (Choice of four answers) (Mathematics – 20 Questions, Science – 20 Questions and General Awareness – 10 Questions) to be answered in one (01) hour duration. • Candidates will be awarded three (03) Marks for each correct answer and one (01) Mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. • Test may be conducted in single/multiple sessions. • Candidates belonging to SC/ OBC and scoring less than 30% marks in Stage-1 Test will be screened – out. Similarly, other candidates scoring less than 40% marks in Stage-1 Test will be screened-out.
